A note from Henrietta

Lovely set of hollow plates by Belgian manufacture Boch, featuring a floral decor handpainted in the tons of warm green and brown. This motif is part of the Argenteuil collection, produced by the company in the 1970s, following the trends and style of the time.

The Boch manufacture was established in 1841 Belgian city La Louvière by Jean-François Boch, one of main owners of another known company: Villeroy & Boch. The company has been creating for more than 180 years luxury tableware handmade and handpainted, conceived in collaboration with famous designers. The stamp underneath the pottery helps you identify the range of years each item has been produced.

The group Le Hodey takes over the company in 1989 under the name Royal Boch Manufacture S.A.
